Before you buy the Saie Dew Bronze liquid bronzer ($25.00, six shades available, and I have shade Salt), check out my honest review.
FYI, I've tested thousands of products over the past eight years, so you have genuinely honest reviews that will help you decide what to buy and what not to buy. Speaking of honesty, I wasn't super excited about buying this one (I think at the time, bronzers were lower on my must-have list), but after a few requests from this amazing community, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did.
In this Scorecard, I'm breaking down five key things you'll want to know before you buy, along with my final verdict:
WHAT’S INSIDE?
APPLICATION: IS IT EASY?
HOW IS PIGMENT PAYOFF?
WHAT IS THE FINISH LIKE?
WEAR TEST, DOES IT LAST?
+ MY FINAL VERDICT

1. INGREDIENTS SCAN*
Six shades range from cool to warm undertones, which is nice to see since so many cream bronzers lean too warm for me at least
Hero ingredients:
- Silica gives a smooth feel and even application while helping to blur (silica is a familiar option, and I happen to love silica-based setting powders for their blurring capabilities)
- Plant-derived glycerin is a powerful humectant known to increase skin’s natural moisture level (glycerin is in most products, so I'm not very impressed with this, but a formula doesn't have to always be innovative)
- Licorice root extract "brightens the overall appearance of the skin." I see it up top on the list, but since it's a targeted bronzer, I don't see how this will brighten the overall appearance of skin on the face (I'm not mad about it being inside, though)
I see skin conditioners up front alongside antioxidants and ethically sourced mica and other emollients
Anti-inflammatory plant extracts are also in the middle: white mulberry root extract, comfrey leaf extract, and evening primrose root extract
In the "may contain" section, you'll see titanium dioxide and lake colorants

🧴 Product packaging: the vial is made of 40% PCR (Post Consumer Recycled Plastic), and the doe-foot isn't recyclable (throw it in the trash). You can bring empties to a Pact Collective bin close to you
📦 Shipping packaging: secondary cartons are made from 100% post-consumer waste and FSC-certified paper
🧪 Ingredient sourcing: the brand uses ECOCERT ingredients inside
👯 Labor practices: I'm not finding information about fair trade certifications, but the brand is heavily focused on reducing plastic and investing in women based on the initiatives they are a part of and the certifications they have. The brand is certified climate-neutral, Plastic-Negative, and part of 1% for the Planet.
Bonus: They make all of this information very clear on the product page, where I'm shopping and deciding on what to invest in. I love it.
OVERALL: 🙂 LOOKING GOOD
My Honest Review of the Saie Dew Bronzer, Details
2. DOES IT APPLY EASILY: 4/5
CLAIM: gives the skin a "subtly defined, soft-focus, targeted bronzing"
It absolutely followed through on this!CLAIM: The "chunky doe-foot applicator is designed for fool-proof targeted application."
Ok, so I wasn't obsessed with the doe-foot applicator because it doesn't pick up the formula evenly, but the texture makes it forgivingCLAIM: a "lightweight, blendable formula melts into skin."
Check, check, and check. The Dew Bronze followed through on this. It's one of my favorite qualities, actuallyTip from the brand: "Avoid buffing/dragging brush/blending in circles. Instead, press into the skin to avoid moving makeup underneath. Buffing will create a patchy application."
I tried a few different brushes for pressing this in and ended up reaching most for this BK Beauty brush
The application was simple thanks to the lightweight, gel-like formula and the brush
APPLICATION TIP:
Need less glow? Worried about the color lasting on oily skin? Press some powdered bronzer on top to keep this lasting all day, or if you don’t want more color but need less glow, dust a light setting powder on top to lock things in place.
3. WHAT IS PAYOFF LIKE: 5/5
CLAIM: "gives a seamless flush of bronzed color that’s never streaky, cakey, or orange."
The shade Salt was a perfect, cool bronze shade that was subtle but also worked so well with my complexion without looking too orange
By pressing into my skin, I avoided any streaking or patchiness
I'd say it followed through here, but I could build beyond a seamless flush
It looked so natural and like I had nothing on

4. HOW IS FINISH: 5/5
CLAIM: "Soft-focus finish," that's, "hydrating & blurring."
You will see a glow here, which isn't surprising for Saie products, but I wouldn't say it is oily or shiny at all
The finish is the other stand-out feature of this product, in my opinion
The subtle glow makes this look even more natural and tricks the eye. This is where a bit of blurring meets a wash of even-keeled warmth
5. WEAR TEST: 4/5
The pigment lasted for me! After several wear tests, I could still see the cooler bronze where I had applied it eight hours earlier
I was actually a little surprised since I thought, specifically on heavy workout days, this would fade or slide off my face
The glow does stick around as well, which, for oily skin types or those living in high-humidity areas, may not be a welcome thing
If you want a little glow with your bronzer without a heavy feeling on the skin, this may be a huge win for you
TOTAL SCORE - 18/20
PROS:
full (easily accessible) ingredient and packaging transparency
the brand is very open about prioritizing environmental impact
the shade range covers warm and cool really well
the application was super simple when pressing in - it's easy to work with
the payoff gives a beautiful, natural-looking flush that's lighter than a cream and gives more glow than a powder
it played well with other products I had on my face
the wear test was a strong one
CONS:
it's made of PCR, which means new plastic is involved
I'm not in love with the giant doe-foot applicator, but it's not a dealbreaker for me

FINAL VERDICT:
WHEN I FINISH THIS, WILL I BUY MORE?
This was an unexpected highlight! I've been a fan of almost 90% of the Saie products I've tried, so I'm not sure why I was surprised, but this little liquid bronzer is a contender.
The only two reasons I'm not 100% sure I would repurchase this are that I'm trying to create a plastic-free routine and that, while I liked the glow during the winter, I think it could get a little too glowy for me when the high temperatures (and even higher dew points) hit this summer.
Otherwise, the lightweight gel texture, cooler shade options, and effortless application make this a potential winner for my bronzer lovers out there.
